Overview

Exampl is a peer homework help on demand, for university students. Students post a photo of their question with the necessary annotation. Other students provide the help. Students needing instant help pay a buck and obtain such help.

The aim of this project was to create an app where students would be able to easily get assistance with their homework problems.
The Problem

There is not a distinct platform/website to get specific homework help.
Students rely on websites such as Youtube, CourseHero and Princeton review in order to find content similar to their homework to help solve problems.
Without a reliable platform and building a sense of community, it is impossible to engage students to continue to use a platform that is made to benefit them.
User Research

Conducted research with stakeholders and prospective students to get additional insights.
My research encompassed -
•  Understating how students look for homework help
•  How a homework help platform might suit their needs
•  What the stakeholders defined as a successful experience
•  How is the success of the answered questions measured
Wireframing

I started creating the information architecture and low-fi concepts for primary use cases. After having a go-ahead from the Product Manager, developers, and Stakeholders on the mockups, we began to conduct usability tests with the low-fidelity mockups. Once we had confidence in the design, we began digitalizing designs.
Visual Design

With confidence in our wireframes, I began visual design where I was able to bring the whole app experience to life. The focus was on creating a unique but consistent experience throughout both the iOS and Android platform.
